Customer Needs

The inspiration was to create a luxury experience without breaking the bank. The design needed to be compact and highly functional with ample storage space to ensure a clutter-free and sophisticated living experience. The owner is a great host and loves to gather and socialise with friends over often.

Challenges

The design challenge was to create seamless and smartly planned out living space that connects the kitchen and dining area, whilst ensuring that the owner still has spacious areas for large number of people.

Solution

The design approach prioritised creating a welcoming and spacious space for hosting guests with a built-in island countertop that is both functional and delivers great aesthetics by using a Dekton countertop. Centralising this key feature in an open kitchen ensures the owner is able to entertain his guests even when while still in the kitchen, ensuring no one is left out. Light planning was also carefully considered to build mood and ambience.
